Dadra & Nagar Haveli

Dadra and Nagar Haveli is a union territory in Western India. It is composed of two separate geographical entities: Nagar Haveli, wedged between Maharashtra and Gujarat, and, 1 km to the northwest, the smaller enclave of Dadra, which is surrounded by Gujarat. Silvassa is the capital of Dadar and Nagar Haveli.

Dudhni Lake

Dudhni lake is an ideal place for those who love water sports. Located 40 km from Silvassa, it is a huge lake built on Madhuban Dam's reservoir. The sparkling water with the surrounding hillocks makes it a popular one-day picnic spot. 

Kauncha Dadra and Nagar Haveli. Kauncha is a small and beautiful tribal village 40 km away from Silvassa belonging to the Warli community. 
Silvassa Vasona Lion Safari

The lion safari park is enclosed in the 92 sq. km. of Dadra & Nagar Haveli Wildlife Sanctuary with a wall built around it. Visitors drive around in jeeps with mesh on windows to admire the Asiatic lions. 
Tribal Cultural Museum

Tribal Cultural Museum exhibits tribal objects like masks, hunting tools, handmade musical instruments, fishing gears, kitchen articles, etc. The main purpose of the museum is to preserve tribal culture.
Swaminarayan Temple

Swaminarayan Temple is a marvelous temple in the vicinity of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The temple has great charm especially in the devotees from Gujarat because this temple is the exact replica of the Akshardham temple of Gandhi Nagar.

Best Time To Visit Dadra and Nagar Haveli

November to March is the best time to visit Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The climate in this small union territory is surprisingly pleasant throughout the year. The sea has a tempering effect and the evenings in the heart of summer are cool though daytime temperatures can soar to 41ºC in the summer months. June to September is the time when the rains come.
