The forested Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary, northwest of Chikmagalur, is home to elephants, tigers, and leopards.

Best Time To Visit Chikmagalur
The best time to visit Chikmagalur is between the months of September and March. During the summer season from March to May have a maximum temperature band of 32 °C to 35°C. This is a good season to have city travels and sightseeing. During the monsoon season from June to September provide enough rain in this hill station and rains make the hill station inviting. During the winter seasons from December to February are pleasant and have a cool climate with temperature mostly lies in 14 °C to 32 °C.
