About Yercaud
Yercaud is a hill station town in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It lies in the Shevaroy Hills, known for their orange groves, and coffee, fruit, and spice plantations. Yercaud Lake has a boathouse and is surrounded by gardens and woods. On the lake’s eastern shore, Anna Park has local plants and a Japanese garden with bonsai. To the southwest, Lady’s Seat vantage point has a watchtower with a telescope. It offers views of the Mettur Dam, on the Kaveri River, to the west. Nearby, Gents Seat is another hilltop vantage point. East of Yercaud, Pagoda Point is a viewpoint featuring 4 mounds of rocks, built by local tribes, which form the shape of a pyramid. Northwest is the cascading Kiliyur Falls, with trekking routes around their base. Atop Servarayan Hill is Servarayan Temple, a narrow cave temple dedicated to Hindu deities. Further north is the huge, white marble Sri Chakra Maha Meru Temple, with ornate carvings and statues of Hindu gods inside.
Shevaroy Hills
Servarayan Hills, with the anglicized name Shevaroy Hills, is a towering mountain range near the town of Salem, in Tamil Nadu state, southern India. It is one of the major hill stations in Tamil Nadu and in the Eastern Ghats.
Kiliyur Falls

Best Time To Visit Yercaud
The weather of Yercaud remains favorable to visit throughout the year yet, summer is reckoned to be the ideal season to visit the town. However, touring Yercaud in winter is another good option as the town, during this time, too witnesses favorable weather. Summer is the best season to explore Yercaud. The month of March signifies the start of the summer season in Yercaud and the weather remains relatively cool with a maximum temperature of 29°C. The season ends in May. Yercaud experiences monsoon season from June to September and receives moderate rainfall. During these months, Yercaud glows with lush greenery along with a fresh ambiance. One can also visit the place during this season after checking the weather forecast of the town. Winter experiences pleasant and favorable weather to explore the town with the temperature ranging from 13°C to 25°C. The month of November is the onset of the winter season in Yercaud, which lasts until February is another best season to visit Yercaud.
