The Consulate General of Germany in Mumbai processes tourist visa applications for residents of the following states and union territories. Submit your application at the VFS Global Mumbai centre.
Note: Jurisdiction assignments are based on your registered residential address in India. Always confirm your applicable centre on visa.vfsglobal.com before booking your appointment.

Before booking a VFS appointment, complete your application on the official VIDEX portal ↗. Print and sign the generated barcode application form. VFS Mumbai requires this form at the time of submission.
Go to visa.vfsglobal.com/ind/en/deu → click "Book an Appointment" → select Mumbai as your centre. Slots are released daily at 00:00 IST. Check early morning for best availability.
Choose your preferred slot. Family members can be grouped under one booking. Optionally add Premium Lounge or Prime Time Collection services for enhanced convenience at an additional fee.
Pay the VFS service charge online and any optional service fees. Save and print your appointment confirmation. You will also receive it via email and SMS.
Arrive 15 minutes early. Carry: appointment confirmation, original passport (min 6 months validity, 2 blank pages), signed VIDEX form, full supporting documents, and visa fee payable at the counter. Biometrics are enrolled during this visit.

Nearest station is Mahalaxmi (Harbour Line) — a short 5-minute walk to Urmi Axis Building. The station is well-connected from across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.
Drop-off at Urmi Axis Building main entrance on Mahalaxmi (West). Limited paid parking available nearby. Ola/Uber drop-offs are permitted at the building entrance.
Located on 3rd Floor of Urmi Axis Building behind Famous Studio, Mahalaxmi (West). Near Mahalaxmi Race Course. Easily identifiable by building signage.
Carry your printed appointment confirmation and ID for security check. Mobile phones and large bags must be stored in lockers or left in your vehicle.
You can submit your application at any of the 16 VFS centres across India regardless of your home city. The visa decision is made by the Consulate covering your registered state of residence — not the VFS centre where you apply.
