The Consulate General of Switzerland Chennai processes tourist visa applications for residents of the following states and union territories. Submit your application at the VFS Global Chennai centre — the primary application centre for Tamil Nadu applicants.

Go to visa.vfsglobal.com/ind/en/che → click "Book an Appointment" → select Chennai as your centre. If no slots are visible, check back daily — slots are typically released at 10:00 IST.
Choose your preferred slot. Note that VFS Chennai operates only on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. If travelling as a family, book all applicants under one appointment group. Optionally add Premium Lounge, VISA At Your Doorstep, or SMS Alerts at an additional fee.
Pay the VFS service charge online and any optional service fees. Save and print your appointment confirmation — you must carry this to the centre. You will also receive it by email and SMS.
Arrive 15 minutes early at Ramee Mall, 2nd Floor, Anna Salai. Carry: appointment confirmation, original passport, completed application form, and full document set. Visa fee (payable at centre) confirmed at the counter. Biometrics are enrolled on the same visit.

Nearest stations: Teynampet & Nandanam on the Chennai Metro Blue Line. Both are within a 10-minute walk to Ramee Mall. Auto-rickshaws are readily available for last-mile connectivity.
Drop-off at Ramee Mall on Anna Salai. Paid parking is available within the mall complex. Ola/Uber drop-off directly at the mall's main entrance.
Located on Anna Salai (Mount Road) in the Teynampet business district. Ramee Mall is a prominent commercial complex. The VFS centre is on the 2nd Floor.
Carry your printed appointment confirmation for entry. Mobile phones, cameras, lighters, and large bags are not permitted inside — leave them in your vehicle or with a companion.
You can submit your application at any of the 14 VFS centres across India regardless of your home city. The visa decision is made by the Consulate covering your registered state of residence — not the VFS centre where you apply.
