Cape Coast Castle
- Significance: Built by the Swedes in 1653, it became one of the most important stops on the transatlantic slave trade route.
- The Tour: A guided tour takes you through the historic rooms, the notorious male and female dungeons, and out to the "Door of No Return" facing the ocean.
- Tip: The tour is emotionally heavy. Allow 2-3 hours, wear comfortable shoes, and carry water. Photography is restricted inside the dungeons.
