• Town Safety: Naivasha is a bustling agricultural town. While generally safe, exercise standard urban precautions. Avoid displaying expensive electronics in the town center.
• Night Travel: Avoid walking alone in isolated areas after dark. Use registered taxis or pre-arranged hotel transport for evening movements.
• Park Safety: The national parks are safe, but always follow guide instructions. At Hell's Gate, stay on designated cycling paths to avoid surprising wildlife.

• From Nairobi: The drive is approximately 90 km via the A104 highway. Thanks to road upgrades, the journey takes a comfortable 1.5 to 2 hours.
• By Bus: Modern shuttle buses depart from Nairobi regularly and take about 1.5 hours.
• In Town: Tuk-tuks and boda-bodas (motorcycle taxis) are abundant for short distances. Always agree on the fare before starting your journey.
• In the Parks: For game drives, a 4x4 vehicle with a knowledgeable driver-guide is required, typically arranged through your lodge or tour operator.

Naivasha is a major hub for Kenya's floriculture industry, which employs a large Indian-Kenyan community. This has created a strong demand for authentic Indian cuisine.

• Lodge Dining: Most safari lodges around Lake Naivasha have experienced chefs who can easily prepare customized vegetarian, vegan, or Jain meals if notified at the time of booking.
• Town Restaurants: Several long-standing Indian-Kenyan restaurants in Naivasha town serve excellent thalis, dosas, and vegetable curries.
• Cafes: Modern cafes near the lake offer good coffee, fresh juices, and light vegetarian snacks.
