• The Hotel Zone (Zona Hotelera): A 22-km long strip of land bordered by the Caribbean Sea on one side and the Nichupte Lagoon on the other. This is where the major all-inclusive resorts, luxury hotels, and main beaches are located. It is extremely safe, walkable in parts, and heavily policed.

• R1 & R2 Buses: The public buses that run up and down the Hotel Zone 24/7. They cost about ₹30 per ride and stop at every major hotel and shopping mall. Extremely cheap and safe.
• ADO Buses: Luxury coaches for intercity travel. Use ADO to travel from Cancun to Tulum, Playa del Carmen, or Merida. Tickets can be booked online or at the downtown terminal.
• Uber & DiDi: Widely available and generally cheaper than hotel-zone taxis. Always use the app to avoid price gouging. Note: Some resorts restrict Uber from picking up directly at the main lobby; you may need to walk to the street.
• Colectivos: Shared white vans that run between Cancun, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum. Very cheap (₹150–₹300) but can be crowded.
