The Consulate General of Italy in Mumbai processes tourist visa applications for residents of Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and surrounding regions. Submit your application at the VFS Global Pune centre — the primary application centre for Western Maharashtra applicants.

Fill out the Italy Schengen visa application on the official portal or VFS booking site. Download and sign the printed form. You cannot submit at VFS Pune without it.
Go to vfsglobal.com/italy/india → select Pune. If slots aren't visible, refresh around 09:00 AM IST when capacity updates.
Choose your slot. Group family members under one booking if travelling together. Add optional services like Premium Lounge or Courier if required.
Pay the VFS service charge and optional fees securely online. Print or save the appointment confirmation email/SMS — it is mandatory for entry.
Arrive 15 minutes early at Sohrab Hall, Tadiwala Road, behind Pune Railway Station. Carry your appointment slip, original passport, signed form, and complete document set. Consular fee is payable at the centre. Biometrics are captured onsite.

Pune Railway Station is directly behind the centre — a 2-minute walk. Auto-rickshaws and city buses connect seamlessly from Swargate, Shivajinagar, and Hadapsar.
Use Ola/Uber to drop off at Sohrab Hall, Tadiwala Road. Paid parking available at nearby commercial complexes. Allow 5 minutes for building security clearance before entering VFS area.
Located inside Sohrab Hall on Tadiwala Road, directly behind Pune Railway Station. Look for VFS Global signage on the 5th floor lobby. Easily accessible from station exit.
Carry your printed appointment confirmation. Mobile phones and large bags are not permitted inside the VAC. Use nearby cloakrooms if necessary.
You can submit your application at any of the VFS centres across India regardless of your home city. The visa decision is made by the Consulate covering your registered state of residence — not the VFS centre where you apply.
