The Embassy of Switzerland New Delhi processes tourist visa applications for residents of the following states and union territories. Submit your application at the VFS Global Lucknow centre — the primary application centre for Uttar Pradesh applicants.

Go to visa.vfsglobal.com/ind/en/che → click "Book an Appointment" → select Lucknow as your centre. If no slots are visible, check back daily — slots are typically released at 10:00 IST.
Choose your preferred slot. If travelling as a family, book all applicants under one appointment group. Optionally add Premium Lounge, VISA At Your Doorstep, or SMS Alerts at an additional fee.
Pay the VFS service charge online and any optional service fees. Save and print your appointment confirmation — you must carry this to the centre. You will also receive it by email and SMS.
Arrive 15 minutes early at 1st Floor, Alambagh Bus Stand. Carry: appointment confirmation, original passport, completed application form, and full document set. Visa fee (payable at centre) confirmed at the counter. Biometrics are enrolled on the same visit.

Located directly at the Alambagh Bus Stand. Autos and cabs are readily available from across Lucknow. Drop-off at the main stand entrance and proceed to the 1st floor.
Nearest metro: Alambagh Bus Stand (Red Line). Direct station access to the bus terminal. Multiple city buses terminate here, making it highly accessible from all parts of the city.
Situated inside the Alambagh Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT). Look for the 1st floor office block signage near the main passenger concourse.
Carry your printed appointment confirmation for entry. Mobile phones, cameras, lighters, and large bags are not permitted inside — leave them in your vehicle or with a companion.
You can submit your application at any of the 14 VFS centres across India regardless of your home city. The visa decision is made by the Consulate covering your registered state of residence — not the VFS centre where you apply.
