The Consulate General of Italy in Chennai processes tourist visa applications for residents of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Puducherry. Submit your application at the VFS Global Hyderabad centre — the primary application centre for Telangana applicants.

Fill out the Italy Schengen visa application on the official portal or VFS booking site. Download and sign the printed form. You cannot submit at VFS Hyderabad without it.
Go to vfsglobal.com/italy/india → select Hyderabad. If slots aren't visible, refresh around 09:00 AM IST when capacity updates.
Choose your slot. Group family members under one booking if travelling together. Add optional services like Premium Lounge or Courier if required.
Pay the VFS service charge and optional fees securely online. Print or save the appointment confirmation email/SMS — it is mandatory for entry.
Arrive 15 minutes early at 6-3-1085, Raj Bhavan Road, Somajiguda. Carry your appointment slip, original passport, signed form, and complete document set. Consular fee is payable at the centre. Biometrics are captured onsite.

Jubilee Hills Check Post Metro station (Blue Line) is a short ride away. TSRTC buses frequently service Raj Bhavan Road. Auto-rickshaws are readily available from Somajiguda X Roads.
Use Ola/Uber to drop off at Raj Bhavan Road, Somajiguda. Paid parking available at nearby commercial complexes. Allow 5 minutes for building security clearance before entering VFS area.
Located on Raj Bhavan Road, Somajiguda. Look for VFS Global signage on the ground floor. Easily accessible from Somajiguda junction and Raj Bhavan circle.
Carry your printed appointment confirmation. Mobile phones and large bags are not permitted inside the VAC. Use nearby cloakrooms if necessary.
You can submit your application at any of the VFS centres across India regardless of your home city. The visa decision is made by the Consulate covering your registered state of residence — not the VFS centre where you apply.
