About Itanagar
Itanagar is the capital of the northeast Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. Set in the foothills of the Himalayas, the city is home to medieval Ita Fort and the Jawaharlal Nehru State Museum, which exhibits textiles and handicrafts. The nearby Gompa, a yellow-roofed Buddhist temple, was consecrated by the Dalai Lama. West of town is Geker Sinying, also known as Ganga Lake, surrounded by forests, orchids, and ferns.

Best Time To Visit Itanagar
Peak travel is from October to April when the weather is mild to warm and relatively dry. Itanagar experiences heavy rainfall during the monsoon season. Itanagar experiences a mild, pleasant climate all throughout the year. Situated at an altitude of 440 meters, this hill resort is endowed with a subtropic and alpine type of climates. Hence, the city enjoys a moderate temperature around the year. The summer months of May and June are usually balmy, though, at times, the mercury level can skyrocket to 410 C on extremely sweltering days. Itanagar receives rampant showers during the months of July, August, and September, with temperature levels wavering between 170 C to 300 C. The post-monsoon months, especially the winters are really acrid and cold here.
