Rohtak has a very old and antique heritage preserved in the city. Baba Mast Nath Math, Gokaran, kiloi temple, and several more such fine-looking buildings erected in traditional Indian and Mughal styles such as spacious Havelis with an ornate facade, finely carved wooden door sets and sandstone pillars, mosques that were once lavishly decorated in stucco work, dharamshalas with fine-looking statues of Radha and Krishna and temple spires and are few of them.

Shahjahan Ki Baoli

This baoli is popularly known as Choron ki baoli. This baoli is possibly the finest and the best such monument preserved in Haryana. According to an inscription on the well, it was built by Saidu Kala, a chobdar in the service of Emperor Shah Jahan, in 1658-59 AD. This baoli is also known as Shahjahan ki baoli possibly the finest and the best such monument preserved in Haryana.

Ancient Site of Khokhrakot

Gurudwara Shri Guru Tegbahadur Sahib

When Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji started his journey towards Delhi, He came here via-Kiratpur Sahib, Bharatgarh Sahib, Ropar, Makar, Kabulpur, Bahadurgarh Samana, Cheeka, Kaithal, and Jind. GURU SAHIB stayed here for some 13 days and further left for Rohtak.

Best Time To Visit Rohtak

Rohtak enjoys the typical north Indian climate like that of Delhi. It remains dry mostly all around the year, except for the monsoon season. The city experiences extreme hot summer and chilly winter. Thus, the winter season from the months of October to March is the best time to visit Rohtak. It is the time when the city enjoys a pleasant climate with temperatures dropping down to 10° C.
