Thenmala
Thenmala is an ecotourism site in Kerala, a state in southwest India. It lies just north of the Thenmala Dam, which spans the Kallada River. The Elevated Walkway winds through a thick canopy of trees, home to many native birds. To the east, Pathimoonam Kannara Bridge is a 13-arched bridge along a mountain railway route. Farther east, the Palaruvi Falls cascade into a deep pool.
Thenmala Dam
Thenmala dam is the second largest irrigation project in Kerala, India. It impounds the longest reservoir in the state and water from the reservoir is also used for power generation.
Palaruvi Waterfall
Palaruvi Falls is a waterfall located in Kollam district in the Indian state of Kerala. It is the 32nd highest waterfall in India.

Butterfly Safari Park
It is Asia’s first butterfly safari park is Thenmala, in Kollam Dist Kerala. The 3.5 hectares misleadingly made breadth draws in various types of butterflies. The butterfly safari park climate recreates normal living space for butterflies of all the diverse species. The recreation center is presently loaded with the activity of winged delights.
Musical Dancing Fountain
The fountain was constructed at a cost of Rs. 4.0 million, at the Akkulam Tourist Village. The DTPC has chosen the model of the Padmanabha Swamy Temple as the backdrop for the fountain since it forms the emblem of the DTPC. The lotus-shaped fountain has been built adjacent to the aqua park of the Akkulam Tourist Village.
Nakshatravanam
Nakshatravana, also referred to as Nakshatravanam or Nakshatravan, is a sacred grove consisting of 27 trees that are related to 27 Nakshatras of Indian Astrology.
Aryankavu Shastha Temple

The best time to visit Thenmala is from May to November. You can take a trip to Thenmala all throughout the year. The temperature rise is not very much and the winter months are moderately cold.
