Durshet Forest Lodge
Durshet Forest Lodge is a resort set against the stunning Sahyadri range. The river Amba ambles adjacent to our property. The lodge includes an excellent 35-acre natural forest with extensive teak trails, Flame of the forest trees, and an occasional silver oak thus making it trekkers, bird watchers paradise.
Night Safari
The dark blue sky illuminated with the light of the little stars as you make your way through the forests coupled with the eerie noises of the insects, the night calls of owls, and the occasional howls of the jackals make for an exciting night out in the woods.
Pali Ganapati Temple
Shri Ballaleshwar Temple of Pali and Shri Varad Vinayak Temple of Mahad both lie on either side of the Durshet Village. Both the temples are highly revered and pilgrims flock to these temples from all around.
Varad Ganapati Temple
The Varad Vinayak Mahad Ganpati Temple is the Seventh Ganesha temple to be visited during the Ashtavinayak Darshan tour. The idol at the Varad Vinayak Mahad Ganpati Temple is Swyambhu and the temple is actually recognized as a Math.
Best Time To Visit Durshet
The best time to visit Durshet is from September to March. March to May which is the summer when the days are hot and dry and the average temperature remains around 40°C. Along with indulging in the famous activity of river crossing, several other water activities and sports can be enjoyed to beat the heat. June to August is the monsoon season, the heat levels come down and the weather becomes cool but is humid. Rainfall can vary from moderate to heavy showers. The month of September and October are perfect for rock climbing and enjoying short trips to Durshet. November to February is the winter season when the days are extremely pleasant and moderately cool with the temperature remaining around 14°C. These months are perfect for outdoor explorations, rock climbing, and rappelling.
