About Odisha
Odisha formerly Orissa, an eastern Indian state on the Bay of Bengal, is known for its tribal cultures and its many ancient Hindu temples. The capital, Bhubaneswar, is home to hundreds of temples, notably the intricately-carved Mukteshvara. The Lingaraj Temple complex, dating to the 11th century, is set around sacred Bindusagar Lake. The Odisha State Museum is focused on the area’s history and environment. Puri is home to the 12th-century Jagannath Temple, dedicated to its namesake the Lord of the Universe. Farther along the coast, Konark is the site of the ruins of the 13th-century Sun Temple, a famous example of the region’s native Kalinga architectural style. North of Puri, the crafts village at Raghurajpur offers visitors traditional Oriya paintings and tribal handicrafts. Odisha is also known for its beaches at Puri, Balighai, and elsewhere. Other natural attractions include the mangroves at Bhitarkanika National Park, the bird sanctuary at brackish Chilika Lake, and Simlipal National Park’s tiger reserve and waterfalls.

Nandankanan Zoological Park

Puri is a city and a municipality in the state of Odisha in eastern India. It is the district headquarters of Puri district and is situated on the Bay of Bengal, 60 kilometers south of the state capital of Bhubaneswar.
Rourkela
Rourkela is a planned city located in the northern part of Odisha. It is the third-largest city in Odisha. It is situated about 340 kilometers north of state capital Bhubaneswar and is surrounded by a range of hills and encircled by rivers. The city is also popularly known as Ispat Nagar and also as the Steel City of Odisha. It has one of the largest steel plants of the Steel Authority of India Limited known as Rourkela Steel Plant.
Konark
Konark is a medium town in the Puri district in the state of Odisha, India. It lies on the coast by the Bay of Bengal, 65 kilometers from the capital of the state, Bhubaneswar. It is the site of the 13th-century Sun Temple, also known as the Black Pagoda, built in black granite during the reign of Narasimhadeva-I. The temple is a World Heritage Site. The temple is now mostly in ruins, and a collection of its sculptures is housed in the Sun Temple Museum, which is run by the Archaeological Survey of India. Konark is also home to an annual dance festival called Konark Dance Festival, held every December, devoted to classical Indian dance forms, including the traditional classical dance of Odisha.

Jeypore
Jeypore pronounced in Odia as Joypur literally means "the city of victory". Nature has bestowed Jeypore generously with waterfalls and dense green forests. This is also a prominent business place in southern Odisha. It is encompassed by hills of the Eastern Ghats and the more famous Araku hills on three sides like a horseshoe with the western side opening up to Chhattisgarh in central India.

Bargarh district is an administrative district of Odisha state in eastern India. The city of Bargarh is its district headquarters. The district was carved out of the erstwhile district of Sambalpur in 1993.
