Deoghar is a holy city beside the Mayurakshi River, in the east Indian state of Jharkhand. The ancient Baba Baidyanath Temple complex is a significant Hindu pilgrimage site. Nearby, Shiv Ganga is a sacred pool where devotees of Shiva bathe. There is a shrine to Krishna in the ornate, stone-carved NaulakhaMandir temple. Northeast of town, HarilaJori is the site of a whitewashed Shiva temple and a sacred water tank.
Baidyanath Jyotirlinga

Baidyanath Jyotirlinga temple, also known as Baba Baidyanathdham and Baidyanathdham is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, the most sacred abodes of Shiva. It is located in Deoghar in the Santhal Parganas division of the state of Jharkhand.

Best Time To Visit Deoghar

The winter season in the months of October to March is the best season to visit Deoghar. In this season, the temperature remains comfortable and is apt for sightseeing, temple, and other pursuits. The month of March marks the start of summers in Deoghar and it lasts till June. Temperature ranges between 16°C to 36°C during these months. The hottest month of the year is June for the region. Deoghar is generally avoided by the tourists during these months. November to February is the winter season in Deoghar with an average temperature around 28°C. The temperature dips to as low as 1°C in the month of January accompanied by dense fog. Tourists traveling to Deoghar during this season shall check on the weather before embarking.
