Mysore Palace
Ambavilas Palace also known as the Mysore Palace, is a historical palace and a royal residence at Mysore in the southern Karnataka state of India. It is the official residence of the Wadiyar dynasty and the seat of the Kingdom of Mysore.
Virupaksha Temple
Virupaksha Temple is located in Hampi 350 km from Bangalore, in the state of Karnataka in southern India. It is part of the Group of Monuments at Hampi, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The temple is dedicated to Virupaksha, a form of Shiva.

Narasimha Pillar
Situated inside the Chennakesava Temple complex in Belur, the Narasimha Pillar is a magnificent stone pillar with a height of about 30 feet. All sculptures of the temple are carved on this pillar in a miniature form. The pillar is made with soapstone. The base of the pillar is cubical in shape with floral decoration.
Jog Falls

Mangaladevi Temple
Mangaladevi Temple is a Hindu temple at Bolara in the city of Mangalore in the South Indian state of Karnataka, situated about three km southwest of the city center. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu god Shakti in the form of Mangaladevi.
Gol Gumbaz
Gol Gumbaz is the mausoleum of king Mohammed Adil Shah, Sultan of Bijapur. The tomb, located in Bijapur, Karnataka in India, was completed in 1656 by the architect Yaqut of Dabul.

Former royal residences include 19th-century Bangalore Palace, modeled after England’s Windsor Castle, and Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace, an 18th-century teak structure.
Mysore
Mysore or Mysuru, a city in India's southwestern Karnataka state, was the capital of the Kingdom of Mysore from 1399 to 1947. In its center is opulent Mysore Palace, the seat of the former ruling Wodeyar dynasty. The palace blends Hindu, Islamic, Gothic, and Rajput styles. Mysore is also home to the centuries-old Devaraja Market, filled with spices, silk, and sandalwood.
Hampi
Hampi is an ancient village in the south Indian state of Karnataka. It’s dotted with numerous ruined temple complexes from the Vijayanagara Empire. On the south bank of the River Tungabhadra is the 7th-century Hindu Virupaksha Temple, near the revived Hampi Bazaar. A carved stone chariot stands in front of the huge Vittala Temple site. Southeast of Hampi, Daroji Bear Sanctuary is home to the Indian sloth bear.
Chikkamagaluru
Chikmagalur is a hill station in Karnataka, a state in southwest India. To the north is Baba Budangiri, a mountain range in the Western Ghats, with 3 large caves said to be holy. Trails through forests and grasslands lead up to Mullayanagiri Peak. The cascading Hebbe Falls lies in an area of coffee plantations. The forested Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary, northwest of Chikmagalur, is home to elephants, tigers, and leopards.
Coorg
Coorg is also known as Kodagu, is a rural district in the southwest Indian state of Karnataka. In the area’s north, Madikeri Fort has 2 life-size elephant statues at its entrance, plus a Gothic-style church with a museum on its grounds. Nearby, the Hindu Omkareshwara Temple dates back to the 19th century. Further north is the domed Raja’s Tomb, a burial place of Kodava kings, and cascading Abbi Falls.
Shivanasamudra
Shivanasamudra is a small city in the Mandya District of the state of Karnataka, India. It is situated on the banks of the river Kaveri, which forms here the boundary to the Chamarajanagar District, and is the location of one of the first Hydro-electric Power stations in Asia, which was set up in the year 1902.
Belur
Belur is a Town Municipal Council and taluka in Hassan district in the state of Karnataka, India. The town is renowned for its Chennakeshava Temple, one of the finest examples of Hoysala workmanship.
Gokarna
Gokarna is a town on the Arabian Sea, in the southwestern Indian state of Karnataka. A popular pilgrimage destination for Hindus, it’s known for sacred sites like Mahabaleshwar Temple, which has a shrine dedicated to the deity Shiva. Nearby, KotiTeertha is a temple tank where devotees wash in the holy waters. The town is also home to beaches such as palm-lined Gokarna, in the center, plus Kudle and Om farther south.

Udupi
Udupi is a city in the southwest Indian state of Karnataka. It's known for its Hindu temples, including the huge, 13th-century Sri Krishna Temple, which houses a statue of Lord Krishna and attracts many pilgrims. Nearby, the ancient Anantheshwara Temple is dedicated to the god Shiva. The Corporation Bank Heritage Museum features coins dating from 400 BC, plus stamps and displays about India’s banking industry.
Dandeli
Dandeli is a town in the western Indian state of Karnataka. The Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary, with its trails and dense forests, is home to animals including black panthers, monkeys, and elephants, as well as many bird species. A temple stands at the entrance to the limestone Kavala Caves, known for their stalagmite formations. West of the caves, Anshi National Park encompasses the Kali Tiger Reserve.
Mangalore
Mangalore or Mangaluru is an Arabian Seaport and a major commercial center in the Indian state of Karnataka. It's home to the Kadri Manjunath Temple, known for its bronze statues, and the 9th-century Mangaladevi Temple. Its Catholic sites include Milagres Church, dating to the 17th century, and St. Aloysious Chapel, which features interior paintings. Tannirbhavi Beach is popular for its sunset views.
Madikeri
Madikeri is a hill town in southern India. Framed by the Western Ghats mountain range, it’s known for the Raja’s Seat, a simple monument overlooking forests and rice paddies. In the center, the 17th-century Madikeri Fort features two stone elephants at the entrance. Nearby, the domed Omkareshwar Temple is dedicated to the Hindu deity Shiva. To the northwest, cascading Abbey Falls is surrounded by spice plantations.
Kudremukh
Kuduremukha is a mountain range and name of a peak located in Chikkamagaluru district, in Karnataka, India. It is also the name of a small hill station cum mining town situated near the mountain, about 48 kilometres from Karkala and around 20 kilometres from Kalasa. The name Kuduremukha literally means 'horse-face' and refers to a particular picturesque view of a side of the mountain that resembles a horse's face. It was also referred to as 'Samseparvata', historically since it was approached from Samse village. Kuduremukha is Karnataka's 2nd highest peak after Mullayangiri.
Bijapur
Bijapur, officially known as Vijayapura, is the district headquarters of Bijapur District of Karnataka state of India. Bijapur city is well known for its historical monuments of architectural importance built during the rule of the Adil Shahi dynasty. Bijapur, one of the popular heritage cities located in the Karnataka state of India is also one of the top ten populated cities in Karnataka.
Halebidu
Halebidu is a town located in Hassan District, Karnataka, India. Halebidu was the regal capital of the Hoysala Empire in the 12th century. It is home to some of the best examples of Hoysala architecture. Most notable are the ornate Hoysaleshwara and Kedareshwara temples. The city got the name "Halebidu" because it was damaged and deserted into "old capital" after being ransacked and looted twice by north Indian Muslim armies of the Delhi Sultanate in the 14th-century. The town is known for its temple complexes: Hinduism Hoysaleshwara temple Kedareshwara temple Jainism Parshvanatha Basadi Shantinatha Basadi Halebidu is connected by road and rail to Hassan and Mysuru.
Kemmanagundi
Kemmannugundi is a hill station in Tarikere taluk of Chikkamagaluru district in the state of Karnataka, India. It is 1434m above sea level. This was the summer retreat of Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV and as a mark of respect to the king, it is also known as Sri Krishnarajendra Hill Station. The station is ringed by the Baba Budan Giri Range, with cascades, mountain streams, and lush vegetation, Kemmangundi has ornamental gardens and mountains and valleys views. There is a spectacular sunset view from the Raj Bhavan.
Pattadakal
Pattadakal, also called Paṭṭadakallu or Raktapura, is a complex of 7th and 8th century CE Hindu and Jain temples in northern Karnataka. Located on the west bank of the Malaprabha River in Bagalkot district, this UNESCO World Heritage site is 14 miles from Badami and about 6 miles from Aihole, both of which are historically significant centers of Chalukya monuments. The friezes in the Hindu temples display various Vedic and Puranicconcepts, depict stories from the Ramayana, the Mahabharata, the Bhagavata Purana, as well as elements of other Hindu texts, such as the Panchatantra and the Kirātārjunīya. The Jain temple is only dedicated to a single Jina.
Shravanabelagola
Shravanabelagola is a town located near Channarayapatna of Hassan district in the Indian state of Karnataka and is 144 km from Bangalore, the capital of the state. The Gommateshwara statue at Shravanabelagola is one of the most important tirthas in Jainism, one that reached a peak in architectural and sculptural activity under the patronage of the Western Ganga dynasty of Talakad. Chandragupta Maurya is said to have died here in 298 BCE after he became a Jain monk and assumed an ascetic lifestyle.

Best Time To Visit Karnataka
Tourists flock to different parts of Karnataka throughout the year because of the diverse land features. The coastal regions are hot and humid while the central region is more extreme. However, the most recommended time to visit Karnataka is between the months of November and April, when the days remain pleasant. The coastal, north-central, and the south-central are the three zones of Karnataka, which experience varied climatic conditions. For instance, Bangalore gets a moderate summer, ranging from 30 to 34°C. At the same time, the highest recorded temperature was 45.6°C in the northern part. The hill stations of Karnataka are great retreat centers, the tourists from the state as well as the other parts of the country visit the hill stations like Coorg, Chikmagalur, Kodachadri, and more during the summer season. The coastline of the Western Ghats receives the highest rainfall with an average of about 143 inches and brings the temperature down. The east region remains hot as it receives less rainfall.
