Kasaragod is a municipal town and the district headquarters of Kasaragod district of Kerala state in India. Situated in the rich biodiversity of Western Ghats, it is known for the Chandragiri and Bekal Forts, Chandragiri River, historic Kolathiri Rajas, natural environment of Ranipuram, and Kottancheri Hills, historical and religious sites like the Madhur Temple and Ananthapura Lake Temple, and Malik Deenar Mosque. It is located 585 km north of state capital Thiruvananthapuram and 50 km south of the port city of Mangalore.

Best Time To Visit Kasargod
The best time to visit Kasargod is from August to March. Summers are warm and pleasant in Kasargod, April and May are considered the warmest months of the year. The temperature remains high during the daytime in comparison to the night time. There are frequent rainfalls during this season. It is considered as one of the best times to visit the place. The annual rainfall is almost 3581 mm, the highest in the whole state. The region receives an adequate amount of rainfalls and helps freshen up the surrounding. The retrieving monsoon is experienced in October and November. The difference in temperature is not much as it is always pleasant and comfortable during the winter seasons. The coolest months are January and February, and are the best time to visit the district. It is ideal for sightseeing and other outdoor activities.
