About Vellore

Vellore is a city in the state of Tamil Nadu, in southern India. It's known for 16th-century Vellore Fort, with its imposing granite walls and surrounding moat. Inside the fort, the Jalakandeswarar Temple features many ornate sculptures. Nearby, the Government Museum has prehistoric relics and natural history displays. By the Palar River, the Muthu Mandapam memorial houses the tomb of a Tamil leader.

Best Time To Visit Vellore

Winter in Vellore generally starts in November and lasts till February. The temperature ranges between 22°C and 32°C. The region is not very cold and hence it is considered as the best time to visit Vellore. Summer in the region starts in March and lasts till June. The temperature during this season ranges between 29°C and 40°C. The region becomes extremely hot during this and hence it is not the best time to visit Vellore. July to September is the monsoon season. The rainfall here is not so heavy during this season and one can visit the place for sightseeing.
