Mombasa is a city on the coast of Kenya. A regional cultural and economic hub, Mombasa has an extra-large port and an international airport and is an important regional tourism center. Located on the east coast of Kenya, in Mombasa County and the former Coast Province, Mombasa's situation on the Indian Ocean made it a historical trading center, and it has been controlled by many countries because of its strategic location.
Diani Beach
Diani Beach is a major beach on the Indian Ocean coast of Kenya. It is located 30 kilometers south of Mombasa and has been voted Africa's leading beach destination for the fifth time since 2015. The beach is known for its coral reefs, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and for the closely located Shimba Hills National Reserve, a wildlife reserve that looks out over the Indian Ocean. Diani Beach has restaurants, hotels, supermarkets, and several shopping centres.
Haller Park
Haller Park is a nature park in Bamburi, Mombasa, on the Kenyan coast. It is the transformation of a quarry wasteland into an ecological area. Haller Park holds a variety of plant and animal species which serve as a recreation spot for tourists and locals.
Shimba Hills National Reserve
Shimba Hills National Reserve is a small National Reserve in the Coast Province of Kenya. The reserve is an area of coastal rainforest, woodland, and grassland. It is an important area for plant biodiversity with over 50% of the 159 rare plants in Kenya are found in the Shimba Hills, including some endangered species of cycad and orchids. It is also a nationally important site for birds and butterflies.
Arabuko Sokoke Forest
Arabuko Sokoke Forest is located on the coast of Kenya and is protected as a National Forest Reserve. The Arabuko Sokoke Forest is an area of high endemism, containing endemic mammals, birds, and plants. It contains three forest types, mixed forest, Brachystegia, and Cynometra, each of which protects different communities of plants and animals.
Mombasa Marine National Park
Mombasa Marine National Park and Reserve is a marine park and national reserve in Mombasa, Kenya. It is located on the coast near tourist areas and is a popular beach because of the snorkeling and diving. It is the most heavily visited of Kenya's marine parks and has coral reefs in its waters.
Kaya
Kaya is a sacred forest of the Mijikenda people in the former Coast Province of Kenya. The kaya forest is considered to be an intrinsic source of ritual power and the origin of cultural identity and also a place of prayer for members of a particular ethnic group.
Tudor Creek
Tudor Creek is one of two main water bodies separating Mombasa Island from the Kenyan mainland. Before the estuary into the Indian Ocean, the tidal creek passes under the Nyali Bridge and is bordered to the west by the Makupa Causeway.

Pirates Public Beach is also known as Jomo Kenyatta public beach and a popular destination for beach lovers who want plenty of socializing and to experience a wide variety of entertainment. Pirates Beach is a famous beach for many locals and family units who want to swim, relax, and enjoy the extensive sandy beach Mombasa has to offer.
Rabai Museum
Rabai Museum is a museum located in Kenya. The museum is located in the first Christian church building constructed in Kenya, dating to 1846. Much of the museum focuses on the work of Johann Ludwig Krapf, who built the church with Johannes Rebmann.
Ngomongo Villages
Ngomongo villages are ecotourism spots with recreations of traditional Kenyan tribal villages and cultural demonstrations. It is situated in a former coral limestone quarry, and the aim of its rehabilitation was to convert it into sustainable development, while turning it into hospitable land with utility to the community, while eliminating its hazards and improving the ecosystem.

The best time to visit Mombasa is from July through October when the weather is dry.
