Unguja, also known as Zanzibar Island, is the main island in the Tanzanian archipelago of Zanzibar. Stone Town, part of Zanzibar City, is an old trade center, with mosques and winding lanes. The 1883 House of Wonders is a former sultan’s palace with a clock tower. The Old Fort now houses a cultural center and a stone amphitheater. Underground aqueducts fed hot water to the late-19th-century Hamamni Persian Baths.
Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park

Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park is a 50 km national park in Tanzania located on the island of Zanzibar. The Zanzibar red colobus, Procolobus kirkii a rain forest species found for conservation in the park. Other species of fauna found in the park are the Sykes monkey, bush babies, more than 50 species of butterfly, and 40 species of birds.
Zanzibar Butterfly Centre

At Zanzibar Butterfly Centre in the heart of the island close to the Jozani Forest where you get to know the endemic species of Zanzibar’s butterflies. You can be part of the feeding ritual and, if you wish, let the butterflies fly close to your hand. During the guided tours visitor can learn about the life stages of a butterfly, sees many exhibits flying around and learns to understand the importance of the conservation of the tropical forest.
Changu Island

Changuu Island is a small island 5.6 km northwest of Stone Town in Zanzibar. The island is around 800m long and 230m wide at its broadest point. The island was a prison for rebellious slaves in 1860 and also functioned as a coal mine.
Stone Town

Stone Town of Zanzibar also known as Mji Mkongwe, is the old part of Zanzibar City, the main city of Zanzibar. Stone Town is located on the western coast of Unguja, the main island of the Zanzibar Archipelago, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stone Town is a city of prominent historical and artistic importance in East Africa. Its architecture, mostly dating back to the 19th century, reflects the diverse influences underlying the Swahili culture, giving a unique mixture of Arab, Persian, Indian and European elements.
House of Wonders

House of Wonders or Palace of Wonders was a landmark building in Stone Town. It is the largest and tallest building of Stone Town and occupies a prominent place facing the Forodhani Gardens on the old town's seafront, in Mizingani Road. The House of Wonders housed the Museum of History and Culture of Zanzibar and the Swahili Coast.
Slave Museum

Slave Museum is located in the center of Stone Town at the former slave market. The museum showcases an exhibition that shows a detailed history of slavery in Zanzibar. You can see two slave chambers where slaves were kept before taking them to market for auction.
Spice Tour

Spice Tour is a popular tourist attraction in Zanzibar. Zanzibar was one of the world’s leading producers of spices such as clove, nutmeg, and cinnamon. The tour takes you to an organic farm with a wide variety of plants around the year where you can see, touch, smell and taste the spices, herbs, and fruits that grow and are cultivated.
Nungwi Beach

Nungwi beach is located on the west coast of Zanzibar. The coast is blessed with coral reefs ideal for diving, snorkeling, and swimming. You may be lucky to spot dolphins, sharks,s and green turtles at a certain time of the year. Nungwi beach has numerous resorts, bars, and restaurants with a variety of nightlife entertainment.
Rock Restaurant

Rock Restaurant or Restaurant on the Rock is situated on a picturesque tropical coral outcrop in crystal clear water and a must-visit place in Zanzibar The restaurant offers a dining experience with nature and passionately prepared food. Darajani Market

Darajani Market also known as Estella Market is the main bazaar in Stone Town. At Darajani Bazaar you can buy seafood, meat, fruits, grains, spices along with shops selling a number of different goods, from consumer electronics to clothing.
Best Time To Visit Zanzibar

The best time to visit Zanzibar is from June to October during the cool and dry months.
