About Pattaya
Pattaya is a city on Thailand’s eastern Gulf coast known for its beaches. A quiet fishing village as recently as the 1960s, it is now lined with resort hotels, high-rise condos, shopping malls, cabaret bars, and 24-hour clubs. Nearby, hillside Wat Phra Yai Temple features an 18m-tall golden Buddha. The area also features several designer golf courses, some with views of Pattaya Bay. Jet-skiing and parasailing are popular activities on Pattaya's busy beachfront, which is lined with lounge chairs and umbrellas. Jomtien Beach, to the south, is quieter and popular for windsurfing. Neon-lit Walking Street, which is closed to traffic each night, is packed with go-go bars, discos, and massage parlors, while Art in Paradise features 3-D and interactive paintings. To the north, Naklua Bay also has beaches, a village-like vibe, and the Sanctuary of Truth, a wood shrine covered with intricate Buddhist and Hindu carvings.
Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden
Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden is a 500-acre botanical garden and tourist attraction at kilometer 163 on Sukhumvit Road in Chonburi Province. It is also a major scientific center dedicated to cycads, with its own Cycad Gene Bank. In addition to examining the wildlife, tourists experience religious ceremonies, martial arts demonstrations, massages, and elephant shows.
Koh Larn
Koh Lan is a small Thai island off the coast of Pattaya, in the Gulf of Thailand. It’s known for its beaches, set against a backdrop of wooded hills. In the north, Ta Waen Beach is dotted with restaurants and shops. A large, stingray-shaped building dominates Samae Beach’s north end. The beach is famed for its clear water and sunset views. Small monkeys inhabit the hills around coral-ringed Nual Beach, in the south.
Jomtien Beach
Jomtien or Jomtien Beach is a town on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand and is about 3 km south of Pattaya and is home to high-rise condominiums, beachside hotels, beaches, and restaurants. Jomtien Beach is known for its water sports, including jet skis, para-sailing, scuba diving, several annual sponsored sports events and festivals, attracting visitors from around the world.
Sanctuary of Truth
The Sanctuary of Truth is an unfinished Hindu-Buddhist temple and museum in Pattaya, Thailand. It was designed by the Thai businessman Lek Viriyaphan in the Ayutthaya style. The building is notably constructed entirely out of wood, specifically Mai Deang, Mai Takien, Mai Panchaat, and Teak, and it contains only wood-carved idols and sculptures.
Ko Phai
Ko Phai is the largest island in Mu Ko Phai, a small uninhabited archipelago on the eastern seaboard of Thailand. It is about 21 km to the west of Pattaya. It is also known as "Koh Pai". It is also mentioned as "Bamboo Island", the meaning of its name in Thai, in tourist guides. One of the main attractions of the island group is some well-preserved coral reefs.
Wat Khao Phra Bat
Wat Khao Phra Bat is located on Khao Phra Bat hill to the south of Pattaya. The small temple has many beautiful statues and great scenic views of the whole of Pattaya and its bay. There is also a Buddha statue that is 18 meters tall.
Cartoon Network Amazone Waterpark
Cartoon Network Amazone Waterpark is the world's first Cartoon Network-themed waterpark. The park has recreated an atmosphere of Amazon rainforest with several attractions and activities such as water slides, artificial sea, rafting, flow riding, and live shows, all featuring Cartoon Network's famous characters including Ben 10 and his aliens, Adventure Time's Finn and Jake, The Powerpuff Girls, Johnny Bravo, etc.
Mini Siam
Mini Siam is a famous miniature park attraction in Pattaya with sections divided such as Mini Siam and Mini Europe. The Mini Siam zone features prominent temples and attractions such as Wat Phra Kaeo, Phanom Rung historical park, Wat Arun, Phra Thinang Aisawan, Thiphyaart Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall, etc. The Mini Europe zone features prominent landmarks such as Abu Simbel, Tower Bridge, Sydney Opera House, Statue of Liberty, Angkor Wat, etc.
Wat Phra Yai
Wat Phra Yai is a hilltop religious site with a famed colossal Buddha statue and a staircase flanked by huge dragons.
Khao Chi Chan Buddha
Khao Chi Chan Buddha is a unique attraction featuring a large Buddha image carved into the wall of a mountain.
Best Time To Visit Pattaya
The best time to visit Pattaya is from November to February when the weather is pleasant.
