About Vietnam

Vietnam is a Southeast Asian country on the South China Sea known for its beaches, rivers, Buddhist pagodas, and bustling cities. Hanoi, the capital, pays homage to the nation’s iconic Communist-era leader, Ho Chi Minh, via a huge marble mausoleum. Ho Chi Minh City formerly Saigon has French colonial landmarks, plus Vietnamese War history museums and the Củ Chi tunnels, used by Viet Cong soldiers. Hội An is known for its mix of architectural styles and eras, including the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge. Huế has the massive Citadel, built by the Nguyen Dynasty. The Mekong Delta, a maze of rivers and islands, has floating markets and Khmer pagodas. Junk boat tours and sea kayaking expeditions traverse the calm waters of Hạ Long Bay, home to thousands of towering limestone islands. The beach resorts of Phú Quốc Island, Nha Trang, and Mũi Né offer diving, sunbathing, and water sports, while the northern mountains around Sapa are a trekking destination.
Hạ Long Bay

Hạ Long Bay, in northeast Vietnam, is known for its emerald waters and thousands of towering limestone islands topped by rainforests. Junk boat tours and sea kayak expeditions take visitors past islands named for their shapes, including Stone Dog and Teapot islets. The region is popular for scuba diving, rock climbing, and hiking, particularly in the mountainous Cát Bà National Park.
Phú Quốc

Phú Quốc is a Vietnamese island off the coast of Cambodia in the Gulf of Thailand. It's known for white-sand beaches and resorts, most of which are along the palm-lined southwest coast. More than half of the island is part of Phú Quốc National Park, which features mountains, dense tropical jungle, hiking trails, and wildlife. Duong Dong is the largest town, with day and night markets selling crafts, produce and fish.
Củ Chi Tunnels

The tunnels of Củ Chi are an immense network of connecting underground tunnels located in the Củ Chi District of Ho Chi Minh City. The tunnels were used by Viet Cong soldiers as hiding spots during combat, as well as serving as communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches, and living quarters for numerous North Vietnamese fighters.
Bái Đính Temple

Bái Đính Temple or Bái Đính Temple Spiritual and Cultural Complex is a complex of Buddhist temples on Bai Dinh Mountain in Gia Viễn District, Ninh Bình Province, Vietnam. The compound consists of the original old temple and a newly created larger temple. It is considered the largest complex of Buddhist temples in Vietnam and has become a popular site for Buddhist pilgrimages from across Vietnam.
Imperial City

Imperial City is a walled enclosure within the citadel of the city of Huế, the former imperial capital of Vietnam. The grounds of the Imperial City are protected by fortified ramparts 2 by 2 kilometers and ringed by a moat. The water in the moat is routed from the perfume river through a series of sluice gates and this enclosure is the citadel. Inside the citadel is the Imperial City with a perimeter wall some 2.5 kilometers in length.
Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park  

Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park is a protected area in north-central Vietnam bordering the Hin Namno Reserve in Laos. Characterized by mountains, tropical forests, and underground rivers, it’s known for its ancient limestone karsts and vast network of caves. These include the huge Sơn Đoòng cave and Phong Nha cave, which is big enough for boats. The area’s rich wildlife includes tigers, black bears, and elephants.
Marble Mountains

Marble Mountains is a cluster of five marble and limestone hills located in Ngũ Hành Sơn District, south of Da Nang city in Vietnam. The five mountains are named after the five elements: Kim, Thuy, Moc, Hoa, and Tho. All of the mountains have cave entrances and numerous tunnels, and it is possible to climb to the summit of Mount Thuy. There are several Buddhist sanctuaries that can also be found within the mountains, making it a popular tourist destination.
Hoan Kiem Lake

Hoan Kiem Lake, also known as Hồ Gươm or Hồ Tả Vọng, is a freshwater lake, measuring some 12 ha in the historical center of Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. In the past, the lake was variously named "Luc Thuy Lake" or "Thuy Quan Lake". The lake is one of the major scenic spots in the city and serves as a focal point for its public life.
Fansipan

Fansipan is a mountain in Vietnam. It is the highest mountain in the Indochinese Peninsula hence its nickname "the Roof of Indochina". Fansipan was formed around 250 to 260 million years ago, between the Permian period in the Paleozoic era and the Triassic period in the Mesozoic era.
Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica

Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon, officially Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of The Immaculate Conception is a cathedral located in the downtown of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Established by French colonists who initially named it the Church of Saigon, the cathedral was constructed between 1863 and 1880.
Hanoi

Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is known for its centuries-old architecture and rich culture with Southeast Asian, Chinese, and French influences. At its heart is the chaotic Old Quarter, where the narrow streets are roughly arranged by trade. There are many little temples, including Bach Ma, honoring a legendary horse, plus Đồng Xuân Market, selling household goods and street food.
Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City commonly known as Saigon is a city in southern Vietnam famous for the pivotal role it played in the Vietnam War. It's also known for its French colonial landmarks, including Notre-Dame Cathedral, made entirely of materials imported from France, and the 19th-century Central Post Office. Food stalls line the city’s streets, especially around bustling Bến Thành Market.

Best Time To Visit Vietnam

The best time to visit Vietnam is from July to Aug and December to February. The tropical climate is hot year-round, with a humid rainy season from May to September and a cooler, drier season from October to April.
