Cologne, a 2,000-year-old city spanning the Rhine River in western Germany, is the region’s cultural hub. A landmark of High Gothic architecture set amid reconstructed old town, the twin-spired Cologne Cathedral is also known for its gilded medieval reliquary and sweeping river views. The adjacent Museum Ludwig showcases 20th-century art, including many masterpieces by Picasso, and the Romano-Germanic Museum houses Roman antiquities. Old town’s other highlights include the circa-1861 Wallraf-Richartz Museum, with a vast collection of 13th- to early-20th-century artwork, as well as celebrated contemporary art galleries. The Schnütgen Museum displays medieval religious art within St. Cecilia’s Church, one of old town’s 12 Romanesque churches. The waterfront Schokoladen Museum honors the art of chocolate-making, while the Fragrance Museum marks the 1709 birthplace of eau de Cologne. The Zoological Garden and neighboring Botanical Garden occupy parkland near the Kölner Seilbahn, a cable car running across the Rhine.
Cologne Cathedral
Cologne Cathedral is a Catholic cathedral and the seat of the Archbishop of Cologne and of the administration of the Archdiocese of Cologne. It is a renowned monument of German Catholicism and Gothic architecture and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the largest Gothic church in Northern Europe and has the second-tallest spires. The church features impressive Gothic architecture, the shrine of the Three Wise Men, the outstanding stained-glass windows, and many other important works of art.
Imhoff-Schokoladenmuseum
Imhoff-Schokoladenmuseum or Imhoff chocolate museum is situated in the Cologne quarter of Altstadt-Süd. The exhibits show the entire history of chocolate, from its beginnings with the Olmecs, Maya, and Aztecs to contemporary products and production methods. A special attraction is the 3-meter-high chocolate fountain where an employee dips wafers into the liquid chocolate and distributes them to the visitors.
Museum Ludwig
Museum Ludwig, located in Cologne, Germany, houses a collection of modern art. It includes works from Pop Art, Abstract and Surrealism, and has one of the largest Picasso collections in Europe. It holds many works by Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. The museum has an art collection by Picasso, Russian avant-garde, and American Pop-art artists.
Farina Fragrance Museum
Farina Fragrance Museum is situated across from Cologne City Hall. The museum is spread across several floors and provides a detailed insight into the production methods of perfume throughout the various stages. You can discover some particular technical devices such as distillation apparatus which were once used along with various pictures and documents which help trace back history.
Cologne Cable Car
The Cologne Cable Car is a gondola lift that runs across the river Rhine in Cologne. It connects the two banks of the Rhine at the height of Cologne's Zoo Bridge. The cable car offers you the most attractive bird's-eye view of the city. Enjoy a relaxing view of Cologne as you cross unhurriedly from one bank to the other.
Kolumba
Kolumba is an art museum in Cologne located on the site of the former St. Kolumba church and run by the Archdiocese of Cologne. It is one of the oldest museums in the city, alongside the Wallraf-Richartz Museum. The collection includes paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, decorative art, and religious icons from Late Antiquity to the present.
City Hall
City Hall is a historical building in Cologne. It is located off Hohe Straße in the district of Innenstadt and set between the two squares of Rathausplatz and Alter Markt. It houses part of the city government, including the city council and offices of the Lord Mayor. The history of its council during the 11th century is a prominent example of the self-gained municipal autonomy of medieval cities. Today's building complex consists of several structures, added successively in varying architectural styles.

Beethoven Monument is a large bronze statue of Ludwig van Beethoven that stands on the Münsterplatz in Bonn, Beethoven's birthplace.
Skulpturen Park Köln
Skulpturen Park Köln is a major international overview of contemporary sculpture that has been on display to the public. The public park features work by German and international artists. There is no permanent collection but instead, every two years, some of the exhibits are replaced.
KölnTriangle
KölnTriangle is a 103.2 metres tall building in Deutz and a prominent landmark in Cologne. Its south facade consists of a double-facade, allowing natural ventilation even at high floors. The top floor and roof house a publicly accessible observation deck with panorama views all over Cologne, in particular Cologne Cathedral, directly opposite the Rhine.
